Beth Mounier: Differential Learning and Badassery

Beth Mounier is the best player development coach that I know:

The first time I met Beth, we found ourselves teaching a gym full of 7th-graders how to use a hesitation dribble (think: spiders on roller skates).

She came to me and described the movement in a way that was so simple, I unclipped the mic and handed it to her.

She smiled and shrugged, and stopped the gym to teach. (The hesis got markedly better.)

Beth is a visionary--a trailblazer in differential learning and teaching. A former Division I assistant that studied under both Vanderveers, Beth was also hand-picked by Jason Kidd as the new Director of Team Kidd's Pacific Northwest sector.

Also the owner & founder of Mounshot Performance in Portland, OR, Beth has become a driving force in reshaping how players and coaches approach skill development.

At the Changing the Game conference, Beth is going to dive into her keys to player development: from micro to macro skills, utilizing applied movement, and involving live play into your practices.

Beth Mounier at 'Changing The Game'

As a featured speaker at the 'Changing The Game' conference at the 2024 Women's Final Four in Cleveland, OH, Beth will delve into the intricacies of differential learning and its transformative impact on player development.

Attendees can expect to gain insights into how embracing individuality and variability can elevate coaching to new heights, creating a paradigm shift in the way we approach skill enhancement.

Empowering Through Variability

Differential learning thrives on variability. Beth Mounier understands that each player is on a unique trajectory of growth.

By introducing a diverse range of drills, challenges, and scenarios, she cultivates adaptability and resilience in her players.

The goal is not just skill mastery but the development of well-rounded athletes who can thrive in any game situation.

Cultivating a Growth Mindset

Beth's coaching extends beyond the physical aspects of the game.

She is a firm believer in the power of a growth mindset—a mentality that sees challenges as opportunities for learning and views effort as the path to mastery.

Through differential learning, players not only enhance their basketball skills but also cultivate a mindset that propels them forward in all aspects of life.

Join us at 'Changing The Game' to explore the unique coaching approach that empowers players to not only excel on the court but also embrace their individual journey of growth.

See you in Ohio,

BriAnna
